so this jerkoff admits to stealing 50+ billion dollars and while waiting for trial is punished by having to stay in his $7 million penthouse? oo the poor boy... we should feel bad for him

It boggles the mind that he took so incredibly much and over such a long time from some apparently very intelligent people.

Well....ahhhh....please don't equate 'wealth' with 'intelligence'. I think that is the case here, as many of the people he screwed were Hollywood Stars et al. No offence meant.

No, he screwed many of the biggest investment firms on Wall Street. Presumably there are a few intelligent peeps there.

not neccessarily... alot of the time they simply get promotions to bigger badder investment portfolios because they managed a fund that did uber good.... ie they invested in Madoff... look at the returns they got from that..

$70 million of $50 billion is merely 0.14 of 1%, and it is in his wife's name, and not a lot for so many years of undetected fraud!
There has to be a certain amount that his wife shoud be able to keep!
Way too many irate investers! He really is a nice guy!
