can anyone keep track on what USA has spent recently?

This whole bail these guys out, then those ones, then buy these guys, then give loans to those ones, then offer a 800B stimilus package then put forward a 1.75 T deficit budget
Is all this money the same money? I am thinking not.... which would mean the USA has in the last 1.5 years ran up additional debt of near 5.2 Trillion dollars... this cant be right can it?

My calculator stops at 12 digits.....

Phfff...it's just paper. Literally.

I think they could dump about $1Trillion pretty easily.

It's probably safe to assume that the US owes money for say electric bills.

And it's probably safe to say that the electric company owes the government money for say...taxes.

So if the two just agreed to forgive their debts to each other...and whoever owes more now has to pay their balance.

But...you could even say the cable company owes the government...and the government owes the cable company, and the cable company owes the electric company.

So, figure out which of the three owes more...everyone forgives their debts with each other...until only one is left owing money.

And so on through all the lists of bills owed for each.

When it's all done, the government will probably still owe money...but less of it. Most the businesses/people they owe money too will be happy because they won't have to pay taxes for a few decades...and the Country is now out of its recession .

I still don't believe this stimulis package will do that much .

Obama is moving toward some wealth distribution by increasing the tax for the upper earners by 20%.

Apparently not. All the bleeding hearts say that the bottom-most spend all their money and the upper-most save theirs. The same bleeding hearts say it is okay to tax the upper-most more than their proportional share.

It is apparent you just don't get it.
