Why not. They still want to sell toilets.

Phone them up and ask if your toilet was in yet.

wasn't it actually a government requirement that it only be one day? and that proof that it was paid for on that day was needed to qualify for the $50?

My wife and I don't care for the mad craziness that usually takes place
at these kinds of "events" so we avoided the area until around lunch
time on Saturday. We went in to McDermit, and got ourselves a rain
cheque for one toilet. The store manager was the guy who was writing
us the rain cheque, he said people were camped out starting @ 4am that
morning..

Anyway, my folks came by the next day, and knowing that we wanted a new
toilet but weren't feeling too well, they picked up two on Saturday, one
for them, and one for us.

So I still have a rain cheque for a dual flush toilet, paid $89 plus
tax up front, they anticipate having the new toilets in 6-8 weeks....I
was just going to return the rain cheque for a refund...

Send me a PM if your interested.

We bought a Caroma dual flush a couple years ago and it has performed very well so far. No clogs at all.

The jets can be cleaned with a thin needle, when they get clogged.
If you are anywhere close to the North end, just drive down any back lane and drop it off. it will be re-cycled automatically, or leave it behind my house on Wellington Crescent 1/2 way down the block beside the van from the plumber!

Water stewardship assures me that the Brady road site has a special collection area that will actually be picked up at a later day.

Kind of not the nest program if you ask me....

You'd be surprised at what a toilet bowl can be used for.

....but they sure aren't the same as they were a few years ago.

They're just another retail outlet now...very overpriced for the junk they're selling.

Wrong they do not want them put them out in the box or 1 piece at a time and the city will take them to Brady where they are broken down and they do breakdown while buried . Was talking to one contractor and he had been at Habitat they were trying to get the message out , DONOT WANT.

Put it in the box of your new one , pitch it in the garbage one box at a time in 2or 3 weeks , they might take it .
