because they know we will pay. those people need to be shaken up. we need to stop buying in till they adjust the price to something that is fair. but that won't happen and big brother oil know that!

Get a Co-op membership card in your area.
Red River Co-op in Winnipeg allocated 12.5 cents per litre purchased for their members year. Other Co-ops may allocate different amounts.
I overheard one Red River Co-op member today who said he got a cheque for over 100 bucks. Very Happy
Do any of the gas retailers in Wpg. have any sort of rebate which match this ?

Superstore, if you use a PC card gets you 15 cents per litre at the time of purchase or 7.5 cents for use in their stores. Works very good.
The Co-op one works great if you prefer a cheque, just issued, once a year. Fellow at my work just got $350 back.

My Petro Canada card gets me 2 cents a litre discount and petro points for either a further discount or, in my case, lottery tickets. It may not be as much as the 12.5 cents from co-op, but it is immeadiate. I under stand there is some delay in the full co op discount arriving as a cheque, something to do with retained equity.

These prices are totally out of whack. What did gas cost the last time oil was below $40/barrel? It should be roughly the same, plus the cost of inflation. Anything else is just gouging for profits.

Dang, there's that evil word again.

especially when The Pas is almost 20 cents cheaper.. something is not right in Winnipeg.. not right at all.

oh and for the record and the current price difference to drive to The Pas to get fuel in order to make the price difference mean anything you would need to bring back 560+ Litres of fuel... 560 would break even so anything over that is where you start to save money.. so um... dont bother driving there k?

The oil companies have already admitted that there is no relationship between the price of a barrel of oil and a liter of gas....the price of gas is directly related to local market influences...they gouge when they can and always will.

The only way to drop the price of gas is to pick a company and boycott them ....but everyone must get on board.

Everyone must buy a co-op membership and use only those stations!

Nope.

You have it backwards...pick one the we boycott. When they hurt enough, they will lower their prices and the others will follow.

It will work better if we pick one and boycott all others...
