Years ago all my Newfoundland friends in Windsor Park packed up and headed to the Alberta oilfields, I chose to stay behind despite their encouragement to go with them. They're all coming back now and picking up the pieces, the money was good but it didn't last.....mighty glad I didn't go.

Yes thats how I felt in the last boom when all of my freinds went out there . Some did good many came home whatever later.

Manitoba is a great place to live. However, I found an employment position that was not available in Winnipeg, so I gave Alberta a chance. Having lived in both provinces, I can honestly say I like them both. However if the economy in Alberta tanks, it is inevitable that it will have an adverse affect on the Manitoba economy.

Grumpy is going through a difficult time in his life right now. Still he has managed to make a kick-ass forum.
