We just got back from taking the kidlets to the doctor and driving was okay...side streets are icy as hell though. Just need to be careful and drive a bit slower.

Not too swift but here is the funny part of it, if my co-worker's car would not have been there he may have hit his employees who were walking to the entry door & pinned them against a brick wall.
Damage to his back driver's side of the bumper so not a lot, about $1000.00 but just the stupidity of the driver coming into an icy parking lot at full street speed.

so the moral of the story is... lets park cars all over the place because they save lives?

Mayor Sam closed Highway #1 going to Saskatchebush, so the easterners fleeing Ontario, Quebec and the eastern provinces have to stay in Winnipeg!!

What a brilliant mayor we have! It is incredible how innovative he is! must be because he was raised in the NORTHEND and is of Jewish background!

At 5:30 this morning I fell down my front stairs, and luckily landed on the soft snow that is around the stairs. Now for a 64 (IQ) that is pretty scary!

CTV reported at 6PM 2000+ accidents reported in province today.. about half in Winnipeg.
