Yes alot of companies are doing it to save money and make money also as they are selling power back to the utility .
Like our store they are re insulating there buildings as the goverment is changing the rules about gas bills and hydro being a write off as a cost of doing business . less of it will be eligible .

Well now that depends. Did you compost them or just toss them? lol

I composted them by digging them into the garden and flower beds. Does that make me light green?

Hey, by throwing out plant material / kitchen scraps in the regular garbage, isn't that helping the landfill become more green????

The real exciting part of going green is the fact that according to the Intergovernmental (with the emphasis on mental) Panel on Climate Change report released in Feb of 2007, said if global greenhouse-gas-emissions magically stopped right now, global average temperatures would continue increasing for many decades. This was reported in an interesting Margaret Wente column in the Globe and Mail dated Feb 22/2007, on page A15.
Other predictions include the possibility of the earh's likely global average temperature rising between 1.1 to 6.4 degrees by 2100.
Since there is no such thing as global average temperature, because there is no one adding up the temperatures being reported in the 56,879 places who report the temperature to their local area residents.
What a load of crap!
