what would you do with 43 million dollars?

I have my plan already

pay off all debts

1 million into investments for each of the kids
500K to each sister and to my parents.
500K into investments for each niece/newphew
5 million into gaurenteed investments for myself ( no touch money, unless I somehow blow the rest)
1 million to be divided up amongst all my relatives
A bigger house...
10 million into a multiuse sports facility in Northwest winnipeg. 400M indoor track around a decent swimming pool and "gym". (provided that operating expenses of some sort can be obtained from some level of government it would be open to the public for free/fee)
5 million to purchase 2 hectres of farmland for growing vegatbles. Starting a training program that takes families on social assistance, move them out of the city for 2 year stints where they learn the various aspects of working the machinery and such the first year and then train the next family the next year. All products grown donated to various provincial food banks. Free room and board for the family the entire time.
1 million to play the market... no holds barred do whatever I want investments
a tesla roadster
some booze.. okay lots of booze... and doctor on permanent stand by.. and a limo with driver I dont have to worry about drinking and driving.

some pants...good pants the right size and everything.

So no one won the damn thing, eh? Looks like I'll be buying more tix this weekend.

Anyways, here is what I would do with the $$$:

1. Pay off debt
2. Buy a house
3. Give 1/3 to charities
4. Give to family and friends
5. Buy a cottage in either Manitoba or Ontario
6. Invest in stocks, bonds and RRSPs
7. Bribe my boss for a really long holiday, say about a million a month

Sure, you "donate" the money to build a sports facility. (The Dean K Memorial Sports Center). Then you want the feds to pick up the huge annual operating budget, probably 22 million a year and you still want the public to donate even more cash to the Friends of Dean K group...
This is all just too familiar.

$2,400,000 house on River Road Near Lockport,MB (100m indoor swimming pool, weight room, hot tub, stream room, etc.)
$4,300,000 to fund inner city projects (affordable housing, community centres, teen drop-in centres, etc)
$5,000,000 relatives
$20,000,000 invested in various homes in Western Canada
$100,000 on vehicles
$5,000,000 invested in RSP's mutual funds, etc.)

the rest: put in bank

I would keep my job, but work only part time.

I figure if my investments made me more rich, I would try and get together with other wealthy Winnipeggers to buy a struggling NHL club, and move them to Winnipeg.

LOL... Government only donate money to maintenance if they want it to be free access to the public. .. Other wise its user pay. and that would be the "DEANK Centre" not Dean K... . heh and I am hoping it would not be the memorial centre...

1. Give my notice at work, but stick around to help train my replacement. Out of respect for my boss and co-workers, of course.

2. Pay off my debts, including mortgage, then fix the place & sell it.

3. Buy PPC accelerators and PCI busboards for both my Amiga 1200 and 4000, now that I can finally afford them!

4. Pay off my parent's and brother's debts, then give them a share of my winnings (amount to be determined).

5. Head to Sal's one last time.

6. Fly to Europe, apply to become a citizen of Luxembourg, then buy a condo in downtown Luxembourg City.

7. Live happily ever after. The End.
