I need to have a document notarized. I use to go to my Dad but he is retired and no longer can notarize. Can anyone give me a name of someone reasonable or is anyone on here a Notary?

Why not just apply for a new passport? Then your doctor can sign it.

GC, check with your bank, many managers are, or if you have a lawyer/friend as most lawyers are. (I'm not saying that you need a lawyer for anything, but maybe you know one)

Most of my Dad's friends are lawyers and accountants but almost all are retired. My Dad is one of the executors on a friends will and the lawyer in charge will probably do it...I just need to bug my dad to call him. :-)

hell I thought anyone that knew you for at least two years can sign it?

Or is there a different case specifically for you losing it?

A guarantor can sign a passport...I need a document notarized cause I lost my passport from before.

An executor is someone who handles the estate of a person who has passed on, you're thinking of a big guy in a black hood with a big axe.

It seems the Government only recognizes certain professions as beiong worthy of signing such documents...a lawyer, an accountant, a priest/rabbi, etc.

Seems unfair to me.

That refers to the guarantors for an application for a passport. I believe GC's issue is that she misplaced her passport, which probably requires some sort of declaration that it is lost and not in the possession of the Massad.

Most real estate agents are Commissioner for Oaths as there are declarations that have to be taken when completing Offer to Purchase and Sales Agreements.
