Should Wearing a Jets T-shirt eliminate a free Siloam Mission Meal?

In yesterday's letters to the editor, a reader points out that someone in line for a turkey dinner was wearing an expensive Jets T shirt.

I believe that Siloam Mission feeds every one who comes in for a meal without asking how much they spent on their clothes.

Is the writer, Pamela D. Brown wrong?

This is Winnipeg.

All kinds of people will stand in line for hours for FREE STUFF.

I thought that would happen. People spend all their money and go int deep debt to get tickets and hockey stuff, nothing left to feed the family - so off to the foodbank and mission they go.

The Siloam Mission has a policy of feeding any and all that come for food!

Don't forget they buy Bomber gear too. I'm surprised welfare cheques don't include a certain amount for people to buy frivolous things. How do these people survive?
