Last night, they elected a woman to replace Premier Ed Stelmach. They almost elected a Chinese guy.

Calgary elected a Pakistani guy as mayor.

The head of the provincial liberals is a Pakistani-looking guy.

What's next, the Wild Rose party as government with another woman as premier?

The next provincial election could be called very soon.

I'm not against anyone being elected. I'm just saying it's not what I would have expected.

1917 in Manitoba, the beginning of the downfall of manitoba politics! Women get the vote, and then 8 or 9 years later they become people.

Look in Saudi Arabia. In 5 years women will be able to run for office, and maybe drive a car!

There is no hope.

Why would a woman want to be a politician when all the evidence shows that the men have done a great job!
