Today, I was thinking about how exciting it was to have the Jets back in town. I was thinking about how disappointing it will be for most people to not be able to show their support by attending games. I also thought about how stupid our road names were. As well as that, I thought about starting a new Winnipeg only tradition.
My proposal:
-Rename the stretch of Wellington Ave that runs from the Airport to Westview Park, "Welcome Way"
-Encourage A pre-game type tailgate party along the stretch that runs from the airport to King Edward St. (specifically when the visiting team's bus drives past)
-Have ball hockey games at said tailgate party, in parking lots, or on airport grounds (near "Welcome to Winnipeg" sign)
-Encourage cheers and friendly jeers as visiting teams drive past
-Give visiting team police escort
-Have stretch of roadway become known as "intimidation row"
