Why would anyone hate U2, they had some terrible albums in the 80s, but more pretty good stuff. And they are not yet as geriatric and more productive than many of the other acts that have been popular here. What is the Winnipeg date - can't see it on the list?

Some people paid over 750 bucks for last night's show in Italy. Sell-out crowd.

At this point it is just a rumor, but I have heard it too. Should it happen, the concert will sell out no problem.

WINNIPEG - A beautiful day is coming up for local U2 fans.

Irish rock group U2 will bring their 360° Tour to Canad Inns Stadium on May 29, 2011 (Sunday), Live Nation Canada announced today. Tickets for the concert go on sale Monday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. for $30, $55, $95 and $250 at Ticketmaster. Adult contemporary group the Fray will open.

U2 last played the city in 1997 as part of its PopMart tour. Winnipeg wasn’t initially included when the 360° Tour was announced last year, but the 2010 North American leg was postponed after frontman Bono suffered a back injury and underwent surgery in May.

The tour, in support of the group’s 2009 album No Line on the Horizon, is named after the giant four-legged, 164 foot-tall stage structure known as "The Claw," which has set the world record for the largest concert stage of all time.

The stage will be constructed in the centre of the football field with fans surrounding it on all sides. Field level tickets will be general admission with reserved seating in the stands.

Oops! I was wrong. There is a presale but no password for it. I've got my tix.

The way it works is that you need to receive an e-mail from Live Nation with a link to the Ticketmaster page. It somehow doesn't require a password. If you go to the TM page, you will only see the U2.com presale which requires a password.

I go to lots of concerts and alwys buy online from TM, but I am not signed up with anything from Live Nation

I signed up years ago. Sometimes they send out a presale password for shows. Sign up, it's free.

I usually receive emails from Live Nation but I didn't this time. No biggie, since I am still unsure as to whether or not I want to give my hard earned money to Bono.

I just realized I was signed up to Live Nation, didn't get one either. I don't care about Bono the "humanitarian" but I love going to the big outdoor shows, so will have to wait until Monday or worst case buy from the scalpers

Yeah, I'm sitting on that fence too. If we go we are taking the kids, so I'm not willing to drop upwards of $200 per tix. I'm thinking upper deck grandstand if we can get those at a decent price.

I find Bono to be quite the hypocrite...he preaches about environmental issues yet he will have 100 semi trailers bringing the gear to the show. Not very green of him.

I don't usually go to concerts. I may change my mind for this one.
