Hey all.

It was recommended to help increase our membership, we should make our presence known on Facebook.

Even if you don't like Facebook, you have to admit it's a popular forum...so we've done exactly that.

If you don't have a Facebook account...no problem, the goal is to bring people here.

If you'd like to see the group and/or join it...go here:

Currently the group on Facebook has 32 members...and we just created it last night.

Hopefully, some of them will find their way here.

None of those members are from Winnipeg.
Germany, Honduras the US, but not here.

Is this the right group?

They aren't all from Winnipeg...many are from around the world.

So...I wonder if it has helped or not?

The Facebook group has 107 members (as of today).

Our little forum has 68.

Kind of a strange "jump" there...but hopefully we'll get even 1/2 of the Facebook list to come over and join us here.

These forums are not for everybody I'm discovering. It will take us time to create a large and diverse group. My aim is to create an environment where we can enjoy spirited debate from all sides to an issue. A space where left and right and everybody in between can discuss issues passionately, but without fear of attack. And without over-zealous moderators intervening too frequently.

We're not there yet. But we have grown surprisingly well. Let's keep recruiting from all walks of life.
