Should One Expect A Hot Meal When You Order Breakfast?

I met Grumpy at sals this A.M.
He ordered his usual, sausages, eggs over easy, hash browns well done and coffee and rye toast.
So I ordered the same , except eggs sunnside up.
His breakfast shows up, and so does my toast. My eggs apparently got turned , so they are re-doing them.
I mention that , that probably means my hash browns, my sausages will be luke warm. My toast is sitting there already!
What should I expect, or hope for, a $10.00 breakfast.
Last week at Sals my wife got a completely cold breakfast, after waiting almost 40 minutes, and there the server and the cashier never asked anything . I complained to the cashier last week about the completely "no inquiry", and I went on line to complain, and sals is sending me some coupons for my bad experience.
At least today , when the server asked me, I asked her why they would re-make the eggs, while leaving my toast and everything else cool down. She was a good server, and came back with a free coffee(the only thing that was hot), and I asked for Grumpy's free coffee, because he had to listen to my complaining! lol
At least Grumpy's breakfast was perfect, as he informed me!

$10 bucks? I recommend the Pony Corral Mixed Grill for $10 bucks.
3 eggs any way, three sausages, three bacon strips, slab of ham, hashbrowns and three pieces of toast and coffee. My wife and 2 kids can't finsih one between them. I have no problem. You know what they say - breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day. You'd be challenged to eat again before 4pm.

In any case - best value in town and their sausages are as big as smokies - not the little fingerlings.

Jondo, quit skirting the issue and answer the damn question! (thanks for the alternate restaurant)
Should your meal be served hot?
Should it be served on a heated plate?
When the restaurant has to re-make a mistake, why would they leave the other 3 items, toast, hash browns,& sausages cooling down?
Should the $10 , cheap cost, mean a cheap experience?
Why was Grumpy's meal perfect?

Yes good question. I have never had a less than fast and hot delivery from any of the Pony Corral kitchens.

Sal's challenge is that they're often jammed with people thinking they're lined up to get the best food and best value. False. Each Pony has 3 cooks and 7 servers - servers who wear gloves against the hot plates. Your next (first?) Mixed Grill is on me. You and Grumpy pick the day and location and I'll be there. We'll have to kill the first few minutes talking to each other after service while the food cools down.

On the other question of why Grumpy's was hot and yours not. I suspect he has a way of silently communicating his expection for premium service. She probably pee'd herself making sure his order was perfect and as a consequence forgot you were even there. I might suggest Grumpy order two meals next time while you gaze out the window. And then stick him with the bill.

Damn, I did everything wrong! If there is a next time, I will order the same as Grump's, and make sure that I have a $10 bill in my wallet, not the only $20's I had this morning.
Free hot coffee when your meal is cold! Good policy? lol
The time Deank, Grumpy and I went to Cora's on Waverly, on a Friday at 8AM we were offered the whole meal for free! Everything was so cold, and they had , maybe 4 tables of the 30 or so in use.
This morning at Sals, it was not busy and I still got a poor meal.
