I believe there were five people running and nelson received 200~ votes. Not an overwhelming number. All of his friends and family?

Anything that goes south on that reserve must be looked at with deep suspicion. And demands for more money must be met with deaf ears.

I do believe that there should be an electoral review of this. IF I recall, there was a group that tried to force Nelson out of office a few years back?

By whom?

Surely not elections Manitoba, or elections Canada....? Those are run by the white man, and play no part in that "nation's" elections. Surely any review by such a institution would not take into consideration the "specialy-ness" of that culture etc, etc, etc.

If anything, Nelson will appoint someone to review the results to make absolutely sure there were no anomalies. Can always trust the chief to get to the bottom of stuff like this. sarcasm end
