Apparently Sun chips are going back to a plastic bag because too many complained about the LOUDNESS of the compost-able bag

YES it was very loud. Very VERY loud.

But.. was that enough of a reason to stop this good idea?

That was on CBC last night...

Don't know what the problem was...they should have just used it as a marketing tool and sold more chips.

Odds are better the bio-bags cost more...and they were looking for an excuse to get rid of them anyway to bring their pricing more in line with their competitors.

Perhaps the bags degraded before they sold

That's too bad. Wonder if it was the cost. I don't know how many people would actually not buy them because the bag's loud. Maybe people who try to sneak chips into movies are their largest demographic. Could see it hurting those sales.

lol I thought the loudness was a deterrent for late night snacking...you won't be able to sneak a quick snack while the spouse is sleeping that's for sure!

I liked the compostable bags, other than the noise, which was annoying, but livable.
