This sounds familiar...
A second law-and-order platform idea that Gill unveiled Wednesday involves outfitting Winnipeg police officers with small cameras that could be turned on to record heated situations like arrests or Taser deployments.

"It would cut down on frivolous lawsuits and complaints against police," Gill said. "Plus a lot of situations can be diffused if people know they're on camera."

Winnipeg's police brass is already examining the idea, and this year's capital budget had a $1 million line item in it to purchase the cameras, but not until at least 2015.

Gill said he would like to see the cameras put in place immediately.

JTF should be in favour of this, so when 40 cops come to get him, he could post the results on U tube and contact the CBC to pay him for a pretty good action story! lol

The police teach landlords how to rent???

Gil is an a$$hole if he thinks the pigs will do anything to help landlords. WTF do they know about the Residential Tenancies Act?

NOTHING! One Inspector said : "frick the rentalsman" when I told him to check before making a stupid decision he will regret!

That's where their heads are at.

This will simply create more smoke for the cops to hide behind.

Its an excellent idea that works in other cities, but the other cities dont have our cops. Perhaps part of his plan is to educate the officers first?
