Dear sir,
As we are having an election this year I’d like to know what your position is regarding red light cameras.
Do you believe the red light camera program is about safety?
Are you for adding a second to every yellow light where there is a red light camera?
If not, why not?
If yes, when?
Does the existing city contract with the company that handles Winnipeg red light cameras forbid the city from changing the timing of yellow lights?
If so, why is that?
I will be posting this question and your reply on the Winnipeg forum www.winnipegsandbox.com.
How you respond, or not respond, will directly affect who I vote for.
Thank you.
He included a trail of emails from wiseupwinnipeg and other media types. I will give him the week he requested.Hello (gom),
I am working with Todd from WiseupWinnipeg on this issue and will get a direct reply to you by the end of next week.
Please let me know if this is a problem however I am not back to the City until Tuesday.
Yours truly,
John Orlikow

I believe that councillors are waitting to become truly informed and they expect that to be next week. I'm in the final arrangements of having Congressman Loudermilk in Winnipeg next Thursday for a Councillors/Mayor's presentation, followed by a presentation to the media. Nobody will ignore that day. They all know of this plan so that may be the reason you're not hearing back yet.
