I'm glad someone has found a use for cats. Until now, I wasn't sure what they were good for.

But are they Sphynx Cats? Because that's what really ices the cake. Anyone can dress up a tabby. But a hairless cat that looks like a foot? That takes talent.

Herbie (my new cat since May '09) picked me out at the Humane Society. He was crying out for me, and when I picked him up he said telepathically "Yeah, you'll do," then starts to lick my right cheek.
The orange cat, Tiger (turned 11 last week) seems to prefer the company of other cats. But since Smiles passed away March '09 he has noticed me more and has become more friendly to me - not biting, hissing at me.
After my Mom passed away in Jan. 2010 my young sister bought a mutt-type dog. The dog (Angel) doesn't like me one bit because I tried to pull her out of the pet carrier in the first week.
All I hear now when I visit is "bow wow wow, raow, bow wow wow."
Once I had some pieces of sliced apple on a plate on the sofa. I offerred one slice to her and I swear she said telepathically in a middle-agedJewish oman's voice, "I don't want your apple."
But the point of this thread is the things that cats do that annoy humans.
It's when I want to sleep in on the weekend (or weekday)and one or both of them are hungry and they are intentionally jumping over me and landing on my abdomen. Ouch! Cat, get the F**k off my chest!
When they're really, really hungry and I have put off (a bit) feeding them, they'll start to intentionally knock stuff over, or spill coins off a shelf, or something that normally they are careful not to throw off or down.
My cats get fed twice a day, but sometimes we get weather like we did this past weekend - unseasonably chilly cold, rain and it takes a bit more motivation for me to get dressed and walk to the store for their chows.
My cousin had 3 cats in the 1980s and into the late 1990s.
He has grown up with dogs all his life, so cats were a totally different thing for him. He also lived with two of his buddies.
When was married in '94 and by '98 had an onsite job injury. His wife left him in '99, and he gave her all three cats. He now (in the past 5 years) tells me that he wishes he never owned those cats because of their maintenance.
