Well, if there's a lesson to be learned from all this, it's "Never get in the way of stampeding sheep".

Its not like the deals are that good this year either. This really bites. A family is without him, and several people will be spending time in Jail once the police track them down. yay go Christmas. How freakin mindless are these people? Apparently the rescue personell were be jostled by people still streaming in after the initial opening.
BUT!!!! HOW fricking CRUEL IS WALMART IN ALL OF THIS???
CLOSE the damn store immediatly when something like that happens. shut the tills down, call police to secure all the doors and evacuate ASAP.

uh... yeah actually
4 or 5 years ago CT expiremented with midnight madness.. with hourly "flash sales" 200+ people lined up around the loading doors waiting for them to bring the item out. The one pallet of portable drills.. made it about 6 feet out the door before the bum rush... the poor guy pulling the pallet almost got knocked down. One poor woman and daughter who were trying to get one for daddy could not fight the mob to get in to get it. I knew they would not be able to either and so I grabbed two... As they were walking away from the empty pallet very sad.. I handed them theirs... sure made them happy.

The wife and I went Zellers to get a car seat well there where 11 and one chick rode on the pallet , draped over them till it got to the spot. The guy asked her 2 or 3 times to get off and she ignored him , people are unreal the wife and I shook our heads and left .
People have no Idea what they look like or act like nor do most care sad. The me myself and I syndrome . I refuse to push people out of my way and trample to get something , thought they would have more then 11 though.

Very nice story Dean, I would have done the same too. I can't believe people kept shopping even after police told them to leave the store and that apparently the store only closed a few hours. Way to honour your DEAD employee Wal-Mart. The least they could have done out of respect for this poor man was to keep the store closed till the next business day. I can't imagine people with so little class as to not only trample down someone but the continue stepping over him while people tried to help him, all in the name of getting a cheap Blu-Ray player.

Really makes you think WTF?

and now the lawsuits start.
http://www.winnipegsun.com/News/World/2008/12/03/7619491.html

not sure why the county, the police, the mall and walmart are being sued... but I guess when it comes to lawsuits a shotgun approach especially when it hits people with lots of money is the best approach.
