All business do things this way. It is also a risk the business assumes should it happen too frequently. If people believe tickets will be deep-discounted they will hold off buying. At some point sellers will lose money They then have a decision to make.

Airlines and hotels do this every day. Retail does this every day. Not sure why the concert business should not behave the same way...

this seems baffling that anyone would expect them to be different especially coming from AA and Trin .. too biggest libertarians in winnipeg Smile

I think part of it stems from the fact that it's NOT a market...it's a monopoly.

Ticketmaster has no real competition...certainly not for the shows mentioned.

It would be a disaster of sorts for more then one agent to sell tickets to a show.
