so.. the bus shelter near my place was replaced this year
kind of more by accident then anything else.
They were supposed to replace the concrete pad on Haddon and Egesz as it is broken and slanted and in really bad shape.. but the placed the one at haddon and burrows instead... whatever.
so while they were replacing the pad, they had the old perfectly good shelter sitting to the side and some moron hopped the curb and took the shelter out. like totally destroyed it.
so a new shelter was put in. Only problem, they put it in without side glass so basically its just a big umbrella.
That was over a month ago.. waiting,
waiting, waiting.. still no glass.
So I call toady and the person who answers the phone says the city will be done putting in new shelters
by the end of month. I indicate,
the shelter is there, its just missing the glass.
she says, well just wait until the end of the month anyway then call back.
hrmm..not like EOM is that far away, but why the freak does the shleter not have all its glass when put up?
Does it not seem more then a little silly to start putting up a shelter then move on to another project somewhere else in the city?
