I attended a luncheon today where two WPS officers spoke. These were the two officers responsible for setting up the special tactical squads.
What pleased me so was this one fellow said, several times, that they put themselves in harms way because that is what they are paid to do. He said he and his colleagues well understand that the citizens of Winnipeg expect the people they pay to do their job.
I probably assumed that was what they believed but it was good to hear them say it.
