Canada is full of bleeding hearts who forget the meaning of sacrifice and hard work. We are becoming a nanny state.

No way the people of Quebec and Toronto will allow common sense and good judgment to rule Canada.

Why don't you take all the energy you waste complaining and put it towards making a difference.

Are these people completely thick?
OTTAWA — Veterans Affairs Minister Jean-Pierre Blackburn has apologized for throwing a temper tantrum over a security officer's attempt to confiscate his bottle of tequila, but insists he was not seeking preferential treatment.

In a statement released Friday, the Quebec minister confirms that he asked the bottle of booze be "destroyed" because it exceeded the 100 ml limit.

"At no point did I request preferential treatment; it’s not in my nature," he said. "Granted, I was definitely upset at what happened, and I apologize to those I could have offended. That being said, the rule is clear. The officers applied the rule. And I complied unequivocally."

Blackburn came under fire in the House of Commons, with Liberals accusing Blackburn of showing "brazen disregard" for air safety regulations and breaching the very same security rules he announced on behalf of the Conservative government.

The controversy comes just days after junior cabinet minister Helena Guergis threw a tantrum at a P.E.I. airport, calling Charlottetown a "hellhole" during an outburst she later apologized for.

He should be booted from Cabinet for drinking tequila...never mind trying to bring his own booze onto a flight...commie bastard.

What was the name of that guy who used to frequently have hissy fits and break into tears. He once lambasted a cop for pulling him over for something. He moved to Ontario, I think he's a Liberal MPP.....oh, yeah.....Glen Murray.

Who are the people who voted these freaks in anyway? Did they not have any better choices? Some of the MPs are just plain creepy.

Helena Guergis resigns.

Harper also said the Ethics Commissioner and the RCMP would be investigating unspecified “serious allegations” involving Guergis that came to the attention of his office Thursday night. In the meantime, Guergis will no longer be welcome to sit with the Conservative caucus.

Trying to peddle a little influence perhaps? tsk tsk tsk...I hope she likes stripes.

Well they did dismiss her and throw her out of the caucus. They also announced an investigation. Let's see what comes from this...

Heard it all before?

When was the last time you heard a Prime Minister fire one of his cabinet ministers and call in the RCMP to investigate their behaviour?

Not to mention an RCMP investigation instigated by the same peeps that kicked her out of both caucus and cabinet.

Yeah, nothing will come of it.

From today's G&M.

“We are in receipt of it,” said RCMP Deputy Commissioner Raf Souccar, who is in charge of federal policing for the Mounties. “We’ll be looking at it.”

One likely investigative squad could be the RCMP’s National Interest Investigations team in Ottawa’s A Division, which has the mandate of undertaking probes touching on any alleged “corruption of domestic public officials, the integrity of national programs or matters requiring special investigative expertise.”

This is serious stuff here.

I can't wait until this weeks question period in the house etc and hopefully perhaps learn more details about it etc...

And something made the PM change his mind "overnight" and one way or the other he would have never done that if it wasn't serious...

And then to also banish her from caucus and or from everything else to boot and force her to sit as an "Independent" in the house...That is very, very, serious...

And what is ironic is that it "appears that there is trail of evidence left behind" and mainly in relation to the "blackberry usage/issue etc" and it should be interesting to see what happens next...
