I might go to this. Paul Simon last played Winnipeg at the old Arena, Feb. 25, 1991, and it was an absolutely amazing show, and the best sounding one that I ever heard in the old barn.

Simon and Garfunkle - May 5, 2010 - MTS Centre Simongarfunkel

Both are 68, same age as Rosen, I believe.

I may have to check this out. I am hoping tickets won't be outrageously priced.

I wonder why the times of these concerts are in the morning. Could it be so that all the old people in the crowd don't fall asleep and miss their bedtimes of 8pm? Simon and Garfunkle - May 5, 2010 - MTS Centre 970993

Ha, ha! Ten am is when tickets go on sale, not when the show is...unless we're talking about a different time zone.

You can get in for free if you present your Columbia House membership card along with your Mossad ID card! Simon and Garfunkle look after their own, don't you know! T-shirts and other souvenirs are half-price if you pay in Isreel bonds!

Not if I am in one of the suites...but 100.00 or more for level 200 seems a bit much for me.

more than $50 for ANY level is too high...ESPECIALLY for a couple of guys who should be singing small clubs and intimate settings instead of stadiums.

They are topping off their retirement money, charge high prices so they will only have to do one more tour.

They are charging high prices because they are getting it. That means people see the value.

Sheesh. This is Canada. You'all should have learned that in grade one. Repeat after me: Capitalist good. Socialist bad. Capitalist good. Socialist bad. Capitalist good. Socialist bad. Capitalist good. Socialist bad.

If my hubby and I were to go to this show it would cost us well over 500.00 for 2 tickets, parking and a sitter. I paid less then that for my hotel and flight for 4 nights in Vegas.

good point gom. If they are selling out then there is demand. hey.. that sounds familiar.. supply and demand!! I can agree with that.

But are they getting that?

Are they sold out yet?
Does it look like they'll be sold out?

And how many tickets are being "given" away by radio & contests?

If there's 10k seats, and 1k are given away...and there's 3k left when the concert hits...imagine how many they could've sold had they reduced the ticket price by 30%?

I just don't see Simon & Garfunkle as a "stadium" act. They are more like a lounge act...two guys, sitting on a stage, telling stories and singing ballads...most of which you won't be able to hear, because the audience will be trying to sing along to them all anyway.
