This was a fun show. The lead singer looked like a young version of actor Gary Busey.

The vocals and guitars should have been louder. Vocalist Michael Shotton sang lead vocals on the fifth Boston album and was asked to replace their lead singer, Brad Delp.
Shotton was all right but not spectacular, trying to sing Queen's music.

The guitarist wasn't anything to write home about. He might have been excellent but he just wasn't loud enough.

In the second half of the show, the WSO was supplanted by what appeared to be a 50-person choir, directed by local composer Zane Zalis. In this set, one of the members of the audience stood up in the 4th row and began to dance. He was invited on stage to sing and dance, and was met with much applause.

Jeans 'n' Classics is a group who perform with orchestras, playing music like Queen, ABBA, The Eagles, Elton John, and have guest artists like Rik Emmet performing the music of Eric Clapton, etc.

The audience seemed to be dominated by the 70-something and older crowd. How many of them were there for the music of Queen, I don't know.

Later this spring, the WSO will have some shows with a Beatles cover band, which could be interesting. Beatles fans can also see Rain at the MTS Centre, another Beatles cover band. Then there's the Beatles exhibit at the WAG.

Great concept. I forgot about that event. Might have been fun to attend.
