WPS news release

"The young man is charged with two counts of property obtained by crime, two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of assault with a weapon and flight from a police officer, among other charges.
Police will not release the man's name as he was previously identified as a Level 4 offender when he was still a youth."

I've had it up to HERE with this damn nonsense. They won't name this repeat, dangerous thugs name - because he was also a criminal in his youth??!!!
People - are you okay with this? Does this BS need to stop immediately?

this is BS....he is now an adult.....or would naming his name piss off certain special interest groups who to this day refuse to address the underlying problems of "their" people?

This guy needs to be taken out back, where the cameras aren't on, and put in a learning circle of some kind, for an educational experience.
As an alternate he should go to the penitentiary, and be released after he is taught a trade, and can come back into society with skills, such that he can go to work and be a positive contributing member of society.

This is the socially acceptable justice system the bleeding hearts have delivered to us. The liberals and the ndp only wish to play politics while the PCs try to toughen up the laws. They aren't as concerned with improving the safety of the average Canadian as they are at scoring political points.

As long as peeps keep electing those parties and making excuses for their behaviour nothing will change.

And does it not annoy you so when some limp-wristed apologist claims "well the Conservatives have done "this" in the past, so it's perfectly acceptable if we do "this" now".

But what have the tories done in terms of justice reform?

1) attempting to do away with two for one
2) harsher penalties for car theft
3) less ability to serve time in the community

attempting to get rid of statutory release also, arent they?

setting mandatory minimum sentences for certain crimes,
makiing certain crimes ineligible for conditional sentences,

the problem with justice reform is that the other parties have blocked or watered down nearly every change the conservatives have tried to make.

This may not be the reason for not releasing his name.

Just because it is written doesn't mean it is true...cops make mistakes ya' know. Wink
