Did you find it funny that Stephen ordered the convention closed to the press , even from what I hear general public wonder what is so secret or is he worried about someone blabbing their mouth off . It is not like they were discussing dire secrets. Party is real flush after spending what 20 million to get that elusive majority in Quebec. I find it funny that a party that says it is open to all shuts out those who want to see and hear.

Gee the last liberal convention I was at you did not have pay to get in you were welcome to come in and listen .

Want to know whats going on. Join the party, make contributions. Get Invited/become a delegate. Get involved network with other members.
That's what I did to be able to attend.

I come away with only 1 thing I do not agree with and I was not the only one.

And Stephen is no better , these guys forget the media can make or break you if they wish . they have alot more clout then the spin doctors . Some times I don't blame them as the press is hard to control , but they can bury you with one well placed story . What Stephens control over his MP's reeks of is something to hide like what is next to sell out from this nation .

The Liberals might have considered some form of admission. God knows that they need the money now. Maybe thats part of the difference between the parties. The Conservatives think of simple easy ways to generate revenue and the Liberals...well, they....and then....what the hell do they do anyway?

Ignatieff said it best when he said some things are "family" and are discussed in private, while other things are public. And, like I said, the media hates to be excluded and make up their own stories in retaliation.

If he's a pirate, he's doing it all wrong. He has a deficit and they have a 100B surplus.

Seems like someone used Bush to get rid of Sadam so that they could keep all the money for themselves eh? A lot of people make money from war, but I don't think the American people did. One has to amit that during his tenure, there were no more terrorist attacks in the States.

I especially like the part when Boob Rae and Iggy start arguing openly in public. Boob refuses to attend a closed door session, which was probably designed to allow them to air their differences out of the public eye, so his response, put the issue in front of the public.

Thats why the Liberals believe in gun control, cause if you gave them a gun, they'd shoot themselves in the dink.

The general convention is not a closed door affair or should not be policy is decided behind closed doors. This is only the grassroots which Harper has proven time in time out he has no time for .

Conventions for any political party should only be open to the paid members of the party. Just like any other business, most company sure has hell dont let the media into their policy meetings.
I cant see why anyone would expect any political party allow just random people to attend the policy meetings.

Cause they want you to join the party maybe and as I said this a General convention for the most part they are love ins , not real meat potatoes issues, those debate behind closed doors like will we hang Stephan or let him quit on his own .
I don't mean this against any political party I speak general in this thread As I think most of the parties are way out of touch with you and I . We only count when theres a vote to get .
