Here in Transcona is a convenience type store that has me puzzled. Due to the stricter laws regarding display of cigarettes the owner has a small room boxed off from the rest of the store where he sells his cigarettes, the large sign on the door clearly says only people over 18 are allowed in there, thats all fine and dandy,np there. But what has me baffled is in the store he has a glass display case and part of the rear wall dedicated to marijuana/ hashish smokers, pipes, glass bottles with inhaling straws, all manner of things drug related on display.Kids are always in and out of the store buying candy etc and can see all this on display. What exactly is the law here? Shouldn't this stuff be behind the door in the cigarette room?
I'm by no means a prude, smoked my share of pot myself in my younger days, but my opinion is it shouldn't be so openly displayed. Opinions anyone?
