"The coffin was taken to the undertakers’ store. And it was there that Jozef woke up... Undertaker Darius Charon said: “He was shouting and banging on the lid and made enough noise to raise the dead. I touched his neck and felt a pulse."

So the shouting and banging were not a good enough clue? Had to take the pulse eh?

Epinephrin Rosen....? Will verify. There have been many cases over the centuries of this sort of thing happening. Weird to be sure but yeah, one would think that sounds coming from inside the coffin mean that someone is still alive.

found this....

I used to carry an Epi-pen in the summer as I am allergic to wasps and hornets. If not looked after very quickly, someone with a severe allergy can "die" within minutes. It is a serious as a peanut allergy. I have since stopped carrying the Epi-pen (due to $$$$) as over the years I have never been stung but am very very cautious.

how much does an epi pen cost and how long are they good for?

It depends on the strength of the Epinephrine used but the one I had was about $50.00 an injection and it had a 6 month expiry date. So if I didn't use it all summer, it was $50.00 basically thrown in the trash. I stopped carrying one about 6 years ago. I just looked online at one of the online pharmacies and they are now running at $103.00 US. It also looks like the drug companies have improved the product so it has a longer shelf life (almost double) so the price increase is not that bad considering that now the injector would last 12 months. I do know that the junior injector is a common item in the schools now with kids having allergies to peanuts, shellfish and bees/wasps/hornets. Most kids carry them in their pockets or back packs or the school staff are aware that a particular child has an allergy and requires the pen.

Isn't that where the expression "saved by the bell" comes from? I remember seeing somewhere that they used to tie a string to the hand of someone before they buried them and tied the other end to a bell whch was above ground and if the bell rang, then they knew that they had the funeral a little early. I know that sounds hokey, but I can't make this kind of sh1t up on my own.

I know and I had heard that phrase the same way you had and my curiosity was piqued so I did the search. After ploughing through all the horrible links for the TV series I found that gem.

yup that is indeed where it came from... pretty interesting some of the coffins and some of their very elaborate systems to let the buried people out.
I was actually taught this in school as part of history so I really have no idea why the "internet" does not believe they were ever used.
