Can anyone suggest a good blog dealing with Winnipeg issues. I like the Black Rod, but it seems too pessimistic at times.

Lenny .. I believe there are a number of people on here who have blogs. Look for the little planet icon under their profile, like mine. SMW has a blog -- more of a personal blog than issues oriented. Not sure if Holly Golightly is the same one that publishes the bitchabout blog, but it's pretty good.

Policy Frog is definitely one of the better ones for local/civic issues. Curtis's Spin Cycle is pretty good. Chris Cassidy's West End Dumplings is great for gee whiz-type local facts and history. I've been told that my blog is excellent for printing off and lining a bird cage with.

cherenkov's blog is better than just bird cage lining. I read SMWs and enjoy his posts. ChrisD's is okay. Don't believe I've read Spin Cycle although it sounds familiar. ManitobaPost...don't much care for it. Never heard of bitchabout. I'll go have a look. WestEnd Dumplings... Well, he is from the darkside...

I started a blog about 6 months ago...made one posting and haven't been back.

I think blogs have given way to forums where discussions are more interactive.

With as much reading as I do online, and other things between work & home...blogging is just not something I have time for, nor do I want to waste the time reading long rants about random topics.

Seems the blog craze is starting to die off, nothing more then a online diary for most, unless they have a dedicated audience.....I think we're seeing the symptoms of over saturation.

Time for a new medium!

I think it's pretty good too! Anyway, I get alot of readers everyday and sometimes we get quite a controversy going in the comments!
