Welfare Fraud

I went to use the welfare fraud line today to report an acquaintance of mine. I was surprised to learn that they have discontinued it.

Anyone know how to go about reporting welfare fraud now days?

Here is my story.

I know this person who is a single parent living with mom. Welfare pays rent for the person to Mom, mom in turn gives the money back to the person. The person is able to work, but refuses to. Drinking and surfing the web 24/7 is more important.

The person then uses the money to party, to buy all kinds of expensive clothing from e-bay. The person's child is neglected, is unable to speak and for a child over 4 years of age is still not potty trained. from the age of 1 the child was left in a bath tub unsupervised while the person surfed the net. This person's family is well aware and refuses to take a stand and help.

I can no longer, in good conscience, stand by and watch my tax dollars fund this person's lifestyle, abuse of a social safety net, and abuse by neglect of this person's child.

Should I mind my own business? or should I do something about it?

Not sure about reporting the welfare (call or eMAIL the welfare office???). But maybe start by calling CFS and reporting the parent. That might get someone interested.

Or call Lindor Reynolds. She probably needs another CFS story to write. It's been what a week since her last?

But do report it.

As far as CFS goes There are 2 others along with me who will be reporting to CFS on behalf of the child. The child sad to say would be better off in foster care till this person gets their act straight.

But I'll take your advice and will contact the appropriate people.

This person has been approached about it, this person brags how they get away with what they are doing. But thanks for the advice.

I don't think approaching this person would do much good...I doubt he/she'll change. By the sounds of it her child would be better off with someone else raising her/him.

for the record... the welfare fraud line was taken away because in the governments opinion it only caused neighours to rat each other out over personal greviences.

Talk to CFS and be ready to supply all relavent names and address , well you are at contact the police they then are aware of the complaint and will work with cfs contact me if you have any problem as I have still alot of pull with the higher ups there if you want pm me.

e-mail to city hall will work- mayor sam will look after everything! Do not speak to the person- they will put a ontract out on you!
Let the authorities look after this!

Yea but the contract killer is in the youth center for car theft so he is safe for the next day or two.
