lets disable it. I have had 15 thumbs down in the past 2 days. maybe a couple of posts were warranted, and if I offended anyone I apologize, but to give me the thumbs down on most of my posts recently....i was like jeez mizP. just smoke a chronic and let Dre drop some bombs...(or at least casualchris would drop some bombs on the mike).

Well, I can personally account for one thumbs down each for both of you, however I've also given you both thumbs up today as well.

I hate to use this as an example (and forgive me GOM!) but I'd like to see a system like the "Thanks!" system on the old New Winnipeg - where the name of the person who thanked you was displayed for all to see. At least people would be held accountable for going apeshit with the "Thumbs Down" button.

The thumbs down can be disabled. We had a rather lengthy discussion on this some time ago. It was decoded to keep it but it does not count against your "Thanks" score.

I too would like the old system on the darkside. However that is not available yet on this forum. If and when that type of system becomes available I will implement it.

It wasn't me, I swear to God!
Besides I think G.O.M. disabled my thumbs down thingy! I have been too busy with Health care stuff, and business, and not sleeping, and working on an appeal to get a standing MRI done, and to start a lawsuit, for real time, and wow, am I in pain!
Do you think puting in 13000 thumbs down for DeanK will give me some relief?

I cant imagine someone of the muslim religion saying that phrase. Especially when they throw a major hissy fit over a cartoon depicting Mohamed's bomb turban, and impose a death sentence on Salman Rushdie for his book "satanic verses". I thought Islam meant peace, how can you have peace when you use a race degrading slang?

Do you want to know a secret? G.O.M. , for the 1st time many months ago, seemed to get irritated at someone who will remain anonymous, rhymes almost with rosencrentz, when over a weekend of boring posts put through several thumbs down on a few select posters. I had to beg and beg to get the thumbs up/down back, but in all that time I bet you I have used that only twice. I think I purged my thumbs up/down urges, after spending the whole weekend on that noble task! I wanted to get DeanK to -1000. lol.
I made the mistake of hitting G.O.M. who was the thumbs Up leader at that time!
Hey G.O.M. wasn't that a blast? Does my thumbs up/down actually work?

My apologies. I was quoting an interview with the late Tupac Shakur circa 1995. As for the cartoons, not many people were offended by them in Canada, hence the lack of outrage in North America. It was only in a few select Islamic countries where they took the images seriously.

Please, LD. Let's not get into 'what or how Muslims act'. Nothing good is bound to come from it, as evidenced by the Cat Stevens thread, and it serves no real purpose.

I think it's used for Agree and Disagree as much as Boo and Thanks hence the run I suspect.
