I have gotten work via Craigslist and Kijijji and have never had an issue. I believe the trick is in being able to suss out folks via their writing, disclosures, testimonials etc.....I have had very good business situations as a result of folks finding me or vice versa and this is using Caribbean Craigslist, other locales and lately Kijijji.....now if one were looking for love using those methodologies well, then maybe one should be more cautious but then again who is to say that skank that one picks up at the bar is not a serial killer or psycho hose beast (male or female)?

I used craiglist to offer my services to women everywhere for free of course, otherwise it would illegal.

I have never really had any bad dealings with Kijiji. Its where I used to advertise my old business, where I found all the places I've ever lived, and sold and bought many things over the years.

Used both - mostly to buy stuff. Had no problems with either.

I tried looking on craigslist, but found it WAY too busy and difficult to navigate effectively.

Just recently started using Kijiji, but have had good success selling things. Have sold about 5-10 things on the site...going to list some more this week.

For more local/direct listings though, I use usedwinnipeg.com (part of the usedeverywhere.com group). I've listed and sold about 100 things, and bought about 20 things from there.

It's really a matter of what you are willing to deal with, and I like both sites for local pickup/delivery items.

If you're going to list a business though...read the fine print on any of those sites. If you're a commercial lister and they catch you listing without paying their commercial rate...they'll quickly block you...and possibly send you a bill.
