Not going into anything about policies, but Ignatief is a much funnier party leader than Dion was. If there's an election and Layton makes fun of Harper's sweaters again there could be some good laughs with Ignatief in the mix this time around. Here's a line from Ignatief, that isn't that great but funnier than anything I recall Dion saying:
“I find it curious that after weeks of berating the idea of a coalition, the Prime Minister seems to be hard at work forming one himself and with people that he referred to until this morning as socialists,” he said. “I am just wondering whether the Prime Minister could confirm his new-found love for socialism and does he not think it prudent to change his attack ads?”
It's not a good fact-based quote, but pretty funny. Would have been better if he said "Where have you been hiding your love for socialism? Under your sweater?" Or something along those lines. Jack would have got a kick out of that.
