Should the Blue Bombers boot convicted child pornographer from the hall of fame?

The board of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will discuss booting a former team president from its hall of fame after he was convicted of child pornography possession this week.

Dr. Ross Brown, 72, plead guilty in court Wednesday and was sentenced to 45 days in jail and three years supervised probation for possessing nearly 5,000 images and videos of children as young as two years old engaging in sexual acts, including bestiality and bondage.

If Pete Rose can be booted for betting this dude should be booted......and why does he get only 45 days? What does that say about our system's valuation of the safety of children?

The police admitted they did not correctly handle the evidence against perverted old dude. Disclosure issues I believe. That left the crown with little to use against him. I guess they took what conviction they could get.

I'll hold BOTH the police and the crown guilty of that negligence.

I think CTV news reported that the police set deadlines for themselves to get evidence to the Crown, and then failed to meet them, or something along those lines. That gave the Crown little to work with.

A 'disclosure' issue usually involves the crown giving information to the defence lawyers I believe, and is the case here.

Why does the Bomber Board have to even think about removing this pervert's name from the Hall?

I lost a lot of respect for the Blue Bombers organization last week when they tried to sign an attempted murderer just so that they could make the team better. With the deal falling through because of what ever reasons the Bombers claim I had decided to give them one more chance and then they have the balls to even have to contemplate kicking this guy from the hall of fame. I wonder how many of the other hall of famers are feeling right now knowing they are in this hall with a kiddie pornographer.

I started to question the Board when they discounted Ledohowski's proposal out-of-hand and without sufficient explanation for doing so.

That group cries out for investigation imho.
