Canadian Foods get Extra Salt from national Brand Manufacturers Salt_food_cereal_137501gm-a

Food producers say variations in salt content are due in part to differing consumer tastes.

In every product studied, foods contained significantly higher levels of sodium than the same products sold in other countries

I'm definitely more conscious about salt, and the easiest way is to avoid prepared foods. I use more fresh stuff and have actually started reading labels. Stopped by Kraft slices for one thing.

Its all a matter of choice.

Everyone should be calling Kellog's consumer lines and complaining, as well as your federal and provincial MP's and complaining about the poison these national manufacturer's are inflicting on us. for them to say that local tastes determine what they produce, and then we find out that the US and Canadian breakfast cereals differ so much is cause for a lawsuit for healthier food!
