Apparently, N. Korea (or some of its allies) have attacked US Government websites, forcing them to shutdown.

I'm not sure why they would do that...other than to prove that they can.

I don't think this North Korean leader is the sharpest pencil in the box...

It's like continuously poking a stick at a large dog. Eventually the dog will react. Chances are you will not like its reaction.

Yeah...perhaps...but I think N. Korea believes they have China on their side...and if the US makes a move on Korea...that China will step in and "save" them.

more likely China will just step in and take over north korea and call it, its own.

and everyone will be happy with that.

did you know that North and South Korea are technically still at war? Peace was never declared and neither side surrendered.

Yeah...they've been operating on a cease fire all these years.

Which is probably the reason the US still has bases in S. Korea.

Maybe someone forgot to tell him that its not 1951 anymore and that there is a certain civility between China and the Western World.

Exactly, which are you more likely to defend, your lucrative trade relations with the western world (who like their cheap DVD players and consumer goods) or your crazy dictator neighbour?

Why would anyone blame North Korea, when it is obvious that Iraq, with its weapons of mass destruction not there was to blame?
Conjecture!
Facts not in evidence!

DeanK- get back to work!
Does your double negative connotation work with lying , lyars?
Is that worthy of a seperate thread?
That referral was a book that was written by one of the U.S.' stand up comedians, Al Franken, Minnesota's latest Senator. is his last name! Been on Jon ...... The Daily Show, many times with his great rants!
Lies and the lying lyars that tell them!

Sounds a setup.
Why would North Korea, which wishes to AVOID a war with the US, do something so obviously provocative?

This would not be the only provocative act that North Korea has made. Besides, they actually threaten South Korea.

North Korea is never not threatening South Korea!

Yawn.

Not only that, but your average North Korean can barly afford to eat, none the less own and operate a PC. So that would mean it would have to be someone in the government running the "attack" from government PC's...which are no better than 10 year old junk from all reports I have heard.

So yeah, something smells fishy, not drinking the MSM kool-aid on this one.

I really doubt that NK is using super old computers.

But even if they are.. its not like 10 year old computers are that bad.

Yes, it is surely the average North Korean that can barely afford to eat who is developing nuclear weapons a delivery systems. No one said to drink the kool aid, but then there is reality.
