I believe the flu was thought to have originated in pigs.

Pavolo the flu is still actually called swine flu, because it indeed has passed through pigs.
H1N1 is only being used to refer to the particular strain so that people who are morons dont think I dont eat pork or kiss pigs so I am fine. Yup thats right H1N1 (a more technical term) is being used so that Morons can understand.

On the news last night it sucked to watch the details surronding the woman from up north dieing. She was a OCN school Librarian, thats gonna hit those kids hard.

She went to The Pas hospital and was given a tylenol.. you know... exactly what they usually do for ANYONE who has the flu. Was it crappy doctoring given the outbreak of swine flue? Perhaps... but was it Racism? doubtful

you know what guys, that grows very very tiring. This afterall was not only a mother, not only a daughter not only a Native, but ALSO a Manitoban that died. As Manitobans we all need to be a little more concerned and a good way to do that is stop demanding more just for one group of people.

I read in another article where one of the cheifs came up with a great idea. There should be a mobile hospital ready to go that can go to various reserves in the cases of outbreaks. Well good idea, but bad idea as well. It should be a mobile hospital that can go ANYWHERE to be able to combat outbreaks and major emergencies on a mass scale.
