If you want to reach a LIMITED number of people with the valuable information that such an information-based museum can offer up, then it needs a building. If you want to build a shrine for victims and have them double as exhibits, then you need a building.

If you want to reach UNLIMITED numbers of people for a fraction of the cost, build a website.

It's a fact that most of the people in the world will not or can not, visit Winnipeg, not for a museum or for any other reason...especially more true in a crippling global recession/ depression/ tough economic times.

It's also factual that most of the people in the world, hundreds of millions, with Internet access, can most certainly visit "virtual" museums or education centres (just as many are taking university courses online), as they please. Where would a student of human rights turn for information for a research project. The Internet. A fantastic website can be built for a mere pittance and the some of the millions of dollars saved can go into ongoing research and education. MIT is a famous educational institution. You can take courses online without having to actually go there. That is forward thinking, and constitutes effective learning in the information age that we live in.

It all depends on how many people you want to reach with the information...

Can you modify the choices to include something like "nowhere?" As I write this, no one has made a choice, perhaps because the most popular choice was not included.

That's a good idea triniman. We all know we can't build a museum AND develop a website. And I agree with the travel/economy issue. There were 8000 flights today alone that were completely empty except for the crew.

The airline industry is predicting an $8 trillion loss every day. On the upside most pilots and stewardesses are starting up internet companies. They are predicting this will create another chain reaction event: universities will start closing the bricks and mortar. But the positive domino effect there is the science labs and education faculties are being converted into condos for the new stewardess web developer millionaires.

It's all good.

so let me get this straight.. they are hot enough to be stewardesses and smart enough to make millions? Where can I sign up to make this happen? The RCMP find my wife on Lake Winnipeg yet?

The amount of money it would take to make you that hot would exceed the amount that your smarts could possibly generate
