We will never get the truth, but I remember when I was in training with Marshall Artsstein, self defense, keep your cool, was the rule! Kids trying to learn to hammer others were expelled from classes. others who were somewhere in the middle, as they learnt became calmer and obviously the power they had in their hands and feet and the confidence they got, removed their antagonism!
I bet you the Asian was charged because the police looked at his black belt and then took his hands as a weapon, which is the way I believe the Police look at that?

If we take the story at face value, there is no reasonable explanation for the Asian kid to be given such a hard time. When did we lose the ability, right, privilege to defend ourselves? Some people may like to play the role of the victim, but its not what I taught my kids....seems to have worked.

I feel sorry for the other kid. Tries to pick a fight with what he figures is an easy target, and gets his ass handed to him. He must be in a "special" class.|

I agree. The other kid would still have a broken nose to remind him not to frick with a kid who knows martial arts and all would be fine.

I wonder if we will ever find out what happened? it is great that the bully white kid got his clock cleaned! It is great that ,that will end the formr bully's attitude. Every time he sees an Asian person he will see a potential kung foo star.
It is interesing that other Asians in that area have been tossed in the river while fishing! that tells us a lot about racism in the area! Maybe those fishermen need to take that 15 year old with them while fishing! What a horrible thing to do! The Human Rights Commission would certainly award thousands of dollars ,if that complaint got to them! That is what is needed!
No one fishing should ever have to go through that!
