Why do you say that? If folks, menfolks, were less uptight about that normal function perhaps there would be less misunderstandings between the genders.

The downtown Y, back before it got all skanky, was open in the changing, shower areas in the women's section.....the great equalizer I called it.....saw all shapes and sizes and ages and at first it was unsettling but after awhile I stopped noticing.

As a family we used to go to the naked beach ...and we had a rule at our sauna....no clothing allowed.....we put towels on our cedar benches though....

Teach children that there is nothing wrong with nudity and they grow up to be more comfortable and secure....what is wrong with how we are made? My only issue is the pervos out there....that ruins it for a natural experience.

Why we are so uptight in this society I cannot fathom.

Mind you there are some folks who should never be seen naked.....too much of a good thing is sometimes just too much? lol!

You've now resorted to referring to us as "menfolk"?

Well most of you who have posted on this topic are men and folks.....I refer to us women as "wimminfolk".....I like the quaintness of the monikers.....feministas with a sense of humour, and i count myself as one, get the joke.....as in "the little woman".....fun to take old terminology and reinvent it....

Its just that the term menfolk conjures up a bunch of guys in black pants, suspenders, striped shirts, beards and straw hats......maybe you're not far off.

The downtown Y still has the same atmosphere you describe, Miz Point. It's one of the few places I feel comfortable getting naked in public. No judging there. I don't know about "getting skanky."

If there are other public places that you feel comfortable about being naked, please post the date, time and location. I'm sure that we could get some folks to come by for encouragement and support. Smile

I'd prefer not to be addressed in such a manner.
