my local one ran out so I drove into the city looking for more and they were out too.

popeyes had a kickass special apparently 4.99 for 8 peices of chicken. Some RATHER large people ( and sure some not ) a wee bit pissed off about the restraunt running out of chicken. Some went so far as to go for a drive to save money. Man that reminds me of the people who drive 30KM to save 2 cents a litre on fuel.

They should have a trailer parked out back with chicken on ice.... umm yeah.. sure lady.. maybe you should open your own restraunt and see how that works out for you.

I can certainly appreciate how all those folks feel. You would think that after electing Obama as President, this type of thing would never happen in the US of A.

Yes...Rochester, NY is predominantly black...and Popeyes is popular with blacks all over...cause it's usually cheap greasy chicken.

The level of indignation is quite incredible. I'd be pissed off, too, but I certainly wouldn't be in fornt of a camera letting the world know that I'm cheap, have poor eating habits and on top of that, obnoxious.

geesh...that made the news?

Three times in the past year, I went to the Burger King near my office (on Regent) and they were out of burgers.

They still had chicken, fries, etc. but no burgers...I should've called the local paparazzi and let them do a big story about how all the people were starving cause they can't eat at Burger King!!! Smile

yeah that was a pretty funny part. Crap.. out of friend greasy chicken... sorry kids no treat today. HEY there is a safeway lets go by our own chicken and make it.!

No..before I got there...as I pulled up to the speaker they told me right away there were no burgers. The only good thing is it never happened on Whopper Wednesday...so I wasn't too upset.

Of course I DID have to make the obvious obnoxious comment "so it's not "Burger King" anymore?" Wink
