Hasn't that program been ongoing for years? Except its not the police providing the bikes. And the anyone that shows up might have to bust a lock to get the bike.

I hope no one will take a crap all over this event and insist that buying a used bike on kijiji or at a garage sale is better!

.. especially if it's motorized, and you have your girlfriend on the back, and you're not wearing a helmet, and you're driving past a school yard, and you have a marguerita in one hand and a Partagas in the other. Oh man ... I just don't do that often enough anymore. Crying or Very sad

Speaking of this...would anyone like to buy one...brand new...never used?

I'll sell it to you for $600...and no...it's not "hot".

Pantellas are my cigarillo of choice....fond memories evoked of jamaican gyals riding on the back of fat crotch rockets, butts sticking suggestively up due to the canter of the seat? i may be straight but i do not mind admiring a nice bit o' booty.

No...quite serious there FR.

I actually just won it in an auction...and if someone would like to buy it for $600, I'd be happy to sell it.
It's still brand new...never used.

I'm considering giving it to my wife to ride to/from work...but really can't afford the $600 hit right now...so I'm trying to recoup my losses (didn't think I'd actually win the auction...was just goofing off on a site (not ebay)).

Remember my quesyion on what happened to my request for bicycles for community centers? well our absolutely greatest Mayor ever, "Sam", is in the process of turning over the bicycle problem to the community centers.
Lots of complaints from disgruntled auction buyers who seemed to miss out on the "check it out 1st", no refunds, all sold as is, instructions.
There is a meeting at 7P.M. at Ralph Brown to discuss the "how are e going to handle" the 100 bikes per month that are recovered!
Should prove interesting because it would follow "we" would have to get a "free" helmet and lock with each bike turned over to a needy or grumpy person?
Do you think helmets are stolen at the same time that bikes are?
I know I stole a neat bike years ago that had a child's seat on it! lol
