We got sucked into allowing Scrieber to stay in Canada. Once he is deported, he damn well knows he will spend the rest of his life in jail, so he will say anything to stay. Only the Liberals and the NDP believe what he says anyway.

$14,000,000 is only an estimate! If you have seen the lawyer asking painful, slow, useless, questions, I think he will use up most of that $14,000,000! So slow, so painful. My God they should stick a tazer on his genitals.

Schreiber has testified he paid Doucet and other key people close to Mulroney’s government $90,000 as a success fee after an agreement in principle was signed to buy vehicles from Thyssen/Bear Head Industries and build the plant in Nova Scotia. Doucet’s job, he said, was to get then Defence Minister Perrin Beatty to sign the agreement.
Doucet, though, denied that he ever lobbied Beatty.
“I categorically deny ever asking Perrin Beatty to sign.”
Doucet said the cheque, which he didn’t remember receiving, was more likely a retainer.
Nor did Doucet remember ever asking and obtaining a special exemption, allowing him to skip the usual one year cooling off period and begin lobbying the government the minute he left the payroll in 1988.
At one point Doucet repeated “I have no recollection,” so often that when he denied meeting Schreiber prior to 1988, Oliphant was skeptical.
“How do you deny doing something you don’t remember,” Oliphant asked incredulously.

wow must be nice to recieve a 90,000 dollar cheque and not remember recieving it...

No one cares what happened in 1995 or 1999 or 2002. These are lying , lyars, one trying to stay in canada as opposed to being sent back to Germany where he has been found guilty of tax evasion, bribery, and shmoosing with the high mucky mucks!
$14,000,000 dollars, what a fricking waste of money!
Anyone who thinks Mrian Mulroney would take a bribe for only $300,000 has to be an idiot! $3,000,000 maybe?

If we bypassed the court system and simply let the public have a vote, perhaps through the Internet, much money could have been saved.

1988 - Who cares? $14,000,000 to investigate a $300,000 payment that Mulroney has claimed on his income taxes already, and Schreiber is trying to stay in canada, even though there is an extradition order for him to go back to germany where he is convicted felon (income tax evasion and bribing Germany'd dead Chancellor)
Why spend $14,000,000 ? holy Crap they are so stupid! that is why! Governments are so stupid! War on stupidity is needed!!

Mulroney advisor has ‘no recollection’ of lobby work
Flatly denies getting $90,000 ‘success fee’ in November 1988 for working government contacts in favour of Karlheinz Schreiber’s Bear Head...

So Pav, how's the Kool-Aid?

1) Schrieber has been convicted in Germany. He is already a liar.
2) He says he has more information, but will only release it at when it suits him.
3)Is there any proof that the cheque was cashed by Doucet? Right, financial information only needs to be retained for 7 years for income tax purposes, then it can be destroyed. Thats convenient.
So, Schrieber was into Airbus, the Bear Head AFV. Next he'll be accusing Muroney of taking kickbacks on the hot dog machines in the House of Commons cafeteria.

Send the asshole to Germany and give the Liberals the bill for the enquiry.

That's a very good idea.
