reading in the local Times paper today that Half Moon out in Lockport bills itself as having Canada's Best hotdog.
Can anyone confirm?

Isn't that South of Lockport???Miz point wrote:yeah rosie they used to be in those old quonset huts....funky.....i still go once a season at least and usually with out of towners....do some veggie shopping, get some fresh cut flowers....love that drive....
another spot of note though is on the old lockport road north of floodgates....where everyone likes to fish....there is a chip shop, hot dog and burger joint there as \i recall that was kinda cool

I gave up on the new half moon because the dogs served weren't hot enough. I had to ask for them to be done extra well, and one time when I returned my wife and my order, they put it in the microwave and nuked the bun, and onions at the same time. I gave them back , got my money back and now instead of going out there 6 times in the summer I go out there maybe once.
To drive all the way out there and be disappointed is too much for me. I can remember going out there each Sunday going back to the 1950's, when the original half moon was there and every 5th or so double dog had a triple dog as a bonus.
