Winnipeg tax officials apologize to family for false accusation

Wow, a bureaucrat has apologized? It boggles my mind when I hear about these officious pompous bureaucrats playing their games on their power trip. Good to hear at least one has the sense to apologize when they frick up. Too bad it takes getting heard in the media first.

WINNIPEG - Federal tax officials have apologized to a Manitoba couple the agency accused of fabricating the existence of their two young daughters.

Tanya Chateauneuf said she spoke to a Canada Revenue Agency official Tuesday, three days after a news story detailing their troubles with the federal tax agency appeared on the front page of the Winnipeg Free Press and was reprinted the same day in the National Post and the Globe and Mail.

"She said she had read about us in Saturday's paper and that the problem was now fixed," Chateauneuf said. "She said she was sorry this happened to us and said the money we're owed would be in our bank account by Oct. 20."

All too often it is pretty easy for some obdurate members of the bureaucracy to hide behind the many layers of government crap! I have noticed that there seems to have been a major effort to clean up their act and actually help you out!
Many years ago I had a major problem with a dumb ass communist revenue Canada employee, and I filed a claim in Federal Court. The attitude changed , but I lost my lawsuit over a technicality, when a communist dumb ass Federal appeal court judge dismissed my claim. This judge was a French ,dumb ass communist judge.
The really funny thing is that the cost of the lawsuit was and still is $2, and they give you a 380 page book on how to sue the Federal government, step by step. Now that is a good deal!!
