What is interesting is the fact that $300 per month is the average cost of health care in Canada in 2006.
I have seen some price quotes in the U.S. that health care insurance costs $375 per month, probably with the person paying some deductibles. The costs are just about the same.
What happens there is there are 40,000,000 of their 330 million who are not covered.

There are all sorts of useless figures .
The 2 amounts do not make sense, and I am not remembering what was written, but in one of the database figures for 2008 show Manitoba at 5500, the whole country average at 5100.

Want to ban something to save health care money?

Lets start with banning people visiting doctors when they have the sniffles, or their kid has an ear ache, or they have a four inch gash in their arm that could easily be stitched up at home. OK, maybe a one inch cut that a band aid could fix.

Lets follow that up with banning doctors telling you to come back in a week so they can make sure everything is cured (so they can collect for another visit).

It's often the little things that cost the most if they're repeated often enough.

I find this thread misleading. It say health care in the North end is $64 and a bottle of Crown Royal. We can't affard Crown Royal in the North End, its either 5 Star or something from Alberta Distillers. Never mind the dirty oil, Alberta just sends us booze.
