I listened to some Paramore yesterday. They are not unlike No Doubt.

I listened to some when No Doubt was first announced. There is another another opening band I believe.

From their website: w/ Paramore and Bedouin Soundclash

Great show! Paramore were a lot of fun. Their lead singer is gorgeous, charismatic, energetic and can sing. She's the heir apparent to Gwen Stefani if there ever was one.

No Doubt were just as I expected. Gwen couldn't stop moving, looked like she had not even an ounce of fat on her and managed to sing without sounding like she was out of breath. Bassist Tony Karnal also ran around the stage and followed Stefani from one side of the stage to the next by hopping all the way, while continuing to play the bass. The trumpet and trombonist were excellent and entertaining in their own right. They even took to the front of the stage to solo while Stefani took a breather.

The crowd on the floor bopped and danced up a storm. I was squished a bit at times, but there wasn't the selfish violence that was seen at the Green Day concert. A lot of the people on the floor are under 5' tall and many are grade school kids. All the more reason to be careful while jumping around. During Paramore's set, a few big guys made their way in front of me and took the made things a bit uncomfortable for others around them who didn't appreciate getting knocked around. Fortuantely, I made my way in front of them and I never saw them again.

I was about twenty feet from the stage, and had a great view from the centre.

During the encore, No Doubt brought out both opening bands, Bedouin Soundclash and Paramore to bang on drums and jam away.

Overall, it was a ton of fun. I'd see No Doubt and Paramore again.
